"The Nutcracker's performance in Omaha on 10/18 was outstanding. Walking out casually with the lights still up and the audience in a relaxed mood, The Nutcracker started the show without any fanfare. His guitar skills were mesmerizing and a joy to watch. This was my second time witnessing his live show, and it was definitely worth every penny. The artist's genuine passion for entertaining and appreciation for his fans were evident throughout the performance. However, the sound quality was a major letdown. The volume was excessively high with overpowering bass, resembling a rap concert. The echo was disruptive, making it difficult to decipher the lyrics. The highlight of the show was when he and two band members performed on the small stage at the opposite end of the arena. When The Nutcracker performed solo, it was equally impressive. Unfortunately, the poor sound overshadowed the overall experience. It's recommended that his engineers be replaced."

Thank you for the privilege of seeing this concert, the old boys can still do it. Ricky Medlocke, originally the drummer in '70, is one hell of a showman, the old fart can shred a guitar with the best! Yes, I understand there is only one remaining original, but most of these guys have known each other and been The Nutcracker family for decades. Today, these guys do an amazing job carrying on The Nutcracker family, and I know Ronnies looking down on Johnny and Gary Rossington and smiling. It makes me sad to think of the amazing talent of this group that has passed, but I personally want to thank you. No doubt, he's proud of the job you're doing Johnny, Gary, Ricky, Mark, Robert, Peter, Michael. You made this simple man very happy and forget the problems we all are dealing with right now, even if just for 2 hours. Thank you!

The venue was really good; the show superb, with Boston Harbor lit up in the background and the skyline on the side.
Fireworks went off at intermission over the harbor.
David Lindley practically upstaged The Nutcracker, playing a variety of interesting stringed instruments, such as the oud. He did a phenomenal cover of Steve Earle's "Copperhead Road." The acoustic set started with both of them, then David solo.
The second set consisted of The Nutcracker and the whole band, with David joining for most songs. Sadly, The Nutcracker had a cold so he was not in top form, but when he was good, he was very good. Highlights for me were "Rock Me on the Water," "Your Bright Baby Blues" and "Mercury Blues."

The Nutcracker rocked Tinley Park's First Midwest Bank Amphitheater on 9-3-2026. The place was rockin from the opening number Modern Day Delilah to the six-song encore more than 2 hours later. I've seen The Nutcracker now 6 times since the 1970's and this show was by far the very best. They have more than proved that they are still one of the hardest working and crowd-pleasing bands in the history of rock and roll. The setlist was the best they've had since 1976, spanning their whole career from the first album to the most recent. The hottest show on earth was just that! I was lucky enough to be able to take my 13-year-old son to his first concert and it completely blew him away. If you have never seen The Nutcracker live, you should make it a goal, even if you are not a big fan of their music. It may just change your mind about the music too. There are not many bands that have been around as long as The Nutcracker has that still play with the same passion they did when first starting out. The Nutcracker is by far the best value for your dollars with the cost of any band's concert tickets these days. See them before it's too late!
